We currently offer the following seminars:
Intro to Word
This seminar teaches a basic understanding of Word in order
to jumpstart the self paced training offered through New Beginnings.
Intro to Excel
This seminar teaches a basic understanding of Excel in
order to jumpstart the self paced training offered through New Beginnings.
Intro to the Internet/Email
This seminar teaches basic skills in searching for
information on the internet as well as setting up an email account and
learning the various features each offers.
How to Write Your Resume
This seminar teaches the basic structure of what a
professional resume should include. This seminar requires additional
tutoring sessions following main seminar.
Budgeting
This seminar gives insight into how to control spending and
how to achieve financial goals. This seminar requires additional
tutoring sessions following main seminar.
How to Build Your Own Computer (as
materials are available)
This seminar teaches advanced students how to build a
computer using hardware that has been donated to New Beginnings.
Each participant will take home the computer he/she has built.
Genealogy
This seminar is a two-part seminar that teaches
participants how to research their ancestry, record it, and use it for
scrap-booking or other personal use.
